Placed against the backdrop of the great Langeberg mountain range, you will find the Garden Route Game Lodge, which guards the entrance to the South African, world famous Garden Route Coastline.
The Lodge is only 3 ½ to 4 hours away from Cape Town. The area is malaria free and family owned and this private game reserve is home to an abundance of wildlife, birdlife and the Big Five. Guest of the Garden Route Game Lodge will be able to enjoy game viewing in open vehicles, luxury accommodation and a memorable dining experience in one of their 4 authentic African Styled restaurants.
There are currently sixteen Luxury rooms and eighteen private chalets. Located within the garden Route which include glorious scenic drives. You will be able to enjoy African styled cuisine. The Garden Route Lodge is home to various animals which includes the Big Five and many other wildlife such a wildebeest, giraffes etc.
At the game reserve, there are two safaris, per night spent at the reserve.
You will leave early morning and again late afternoon, as these are the times, when wildlife are most active, when it is too hot, the wildlife seems to be resting.
Garden Route Game Lodge, offers guided safaris and includes a qualified guide to help spot the animals and explain their actions, this allows you to sit back and relax while learning and discovering nature at its best.
The game reserve is home to the elephant, buffalo, white rhinos, giraffes, cheetahs as well as a variety of antelopes, therefore don’t forget to bring along your camera or binoculars. If you are in luck you may even find the cheetah roaming free cheetahs.
In the evenings and mornings, it could become cool and then end of with a warmer afternoon. Ponchos will be provided and there will be various stops and outlook spots for you for have a great safari experience.
